Lesson 6 – Practical Exercises

In this course, you can practice before the exam! Make sure you understand the concepts seen during the course: variables, lists, conditional executions and loops in this mostly free period. You will be challenged with some big missions that will allow you to apply most of the concepts seen during the course. If you complete these missions, you are ready for the exam!

Lesson 5 – Tello & Telemetry

In lesson #5 things get more complicated… You will learn telemetry with two new functions: get_tof() and get_height(). You will use conditional executions in conjunction with loops so that the tello can make decisions on its own and detect obstacles! And finally you will be able to create new functions to control your tello by writing as little code as possible. There will be exercises available to test this knowledge. Good luck!

Lesson 4 – Tello & Python

Now that you are in lesson #4, you will finally be able to program the tello’s movements with the Python language. You will be able to connect your computer to your Tello via Jupyter Lab. You will learn the useful commands to control it. You will run fun missions that will allow you to learn these commands and then finally you will be able to have fun with some examples that will serve as support during exercises like flips and geometric paths.

Lesson 3 – Programming with Python

In course #3 we will return a little to the basics seen in the last course. Afterwards we will learn new Python concepts like: lists, operations, exceptional conditions and finally: loops. You will be challenged with some exercises on these concepts and then finally we have another fun activity with the tello.

Lesson 2 – Introduction to programming and the Python language

We will see together how a computer works as well as the binary language. The different components that make up a computer are: the microprocessor, the memory and the buses. Then there will be a small introduction to our programming language: Python. And then finally you will be able to initialize your very first variables in python using anaconda (jupyterlab). Then we will finish with some exercises that will test your knowledge learned during the course.

Lesson 1 – Introduction to Tellos and Artificial Intelligence

In this course, we will talk about artificial intelligence. The areas of use today of artificial intelligence, how is it used? Then we will talk about the different types of drones and what distinguishes them. And finally we will explore together the different components of the Tello (our flying robot) as well as the operation of the Tello application. We will finish with a small Tello piloting activity!
