COLLEGE DE L’HORIZON, SECONDARY SCHOOL CSDUROY

TROIS RIVIÈRES

.

The management of the secondary school: College de l’Horizon, of the Chemin du Roy school board, hosts the Aeronautics Training Program.

The PFA, a program focused on the learning of Science Technologies Engineering and Maths (STEM) finds its place in this avant-garde school which is launching a new program: Center of Interest in Aerospace.

At Horizon College, Secondary 5 students will receive a double diploma, namely the Secondary School Diploma (DES) and the Professional Studies Diploma in Aerospace Structural Assembly (DEP) acquired concurrently from Secondary IV.

In order to interest and introduce students to the field of aerospace, the CSCDR is hosting the Aeronautics Training Program and its AEROLAB at the Horizon School. PFA courses will be integrated into science and technology activities from Secondary 1.

This interest in ensuring a competent succession in the aerospace industry comes from the fact that several companies in Trois-Rivières supply major aviation companies such as Bombardier, Eurocopter, Bell Helicopter and Pratt & Whitney.

It is also thanks to the support of one of them AAR, a service provider to the global aviation industry, among others, that the program will be implemented in 2021.
