This is thanks to the financial participation of Développement économique Longueuil and Héroux-Devtek. Quebec pride, founded in 1942, a leading global supplier of landing gear solutions for the aerospace market. Héroux-Devtek manufactured the landing gear for the lunar module that landed Neil Armstrong on the moon as part of the Apollo 11 mission in 1969.

Développement Économique Longueuil appreciates the arrival of this new program in a school in the agglomeration of Longueuil. Interesting young people in the aeronautical industry and advanced technology, which is very present in the region, is important to ensure succession, especially with the presence, in the region, of the National School of Aerotechnics (ÉNA), head of leader in aerospace technical training in Quebec.

In January 2021, Artificial Intelligence and drones entered the Mgr A.M. Parent School thanks to the support of the Government of Quebec, CAE and the participation of the Polytechnique. 90 students, supervised by their science teacher and Aviation Connection instructors, will use fifteen drones (2 students per drone) to discover the basics of AI. and the Python language among others.
